Biography and Education

Prior to joining the Iron City Elite staff, Dylan was the strength and conditioning coach for Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Men’s and Women’s swim teams. During his time at IUP, Dylan assisted in coaching 6 NCAA All-Americans and 26 school record-breaking performances. A graduate of Kittanning Senior High School, Dylan attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Exercise Science.

In 2013, Dylan completed his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. To further continue his education, Dylan has attended multiple regional and national conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in training methods, coaching strategies and corrective exercise techniques.

As an athlete, Dylan was a four-year NCAA Division 2 swimmer at IUP and was a previous school record holder in two events. In high school he competed in swimming, soccer, and track & field. Dylan competed in the 2014 Pittsburgh Marathon and attained the qualifying time for the 2015 Boston Marathon, which he completed and requalified for in April. During his spare time Dylan enjoys running, watching sports, resistance training, movies and reading.
